The locals live close to nature here. It is peaceful here. Two hundred meters from the house you walk into nature that way. Take a beautiful walk through forests and over mountain tops. Enjoy wide views, encounters with wildlife. Discover lost shepherd villages. Buy cheese from a local (mountain) shepherd. This cheese is 100% organic. Let it mature further in the coming period and taste the change in taste. Pick 'wild spinach' on higher plains and / or look for edible mushrooms. Prepare it in the evening with fresh Italian herbs from your own garden, while enjoying a good local (organic) glass of wine on your terrace.
For the beach you go to the (Riviera) coast. Hikers can discover the region via many routes.
Breathe the clean, clean air. The valley - "Alta Valle Arroscia" - is known for its bio-diversity (a beautiful, very diverse flora and fauna, lots of 'wild') and its culture.
Village and region are not geared towards mass tourism, a charm in itself and Montegrosso Pian Latte has 2 restaurants that are highly regarded in the wider area. There are also regular markets for antiques and an art market once a month in a nearby town.
The water from the tap is pure spring water and very healthy. It comes directly from its own (village) source. The water is bottled and sold in a local factory (!).
THE VILLAGE: Montegrosso Pian Latte (700m) is located between sea and mountains. That is why the house is called "Tra Mare e Monti". It is a quiet village - with characteristic appearance. The village lives: it has 2 restaurants, a shop for groceries, a church, post office, a town hall and a doctor's and ambulance station.
Experience the typical Italian atmosphere where people still embrace the slow food culture and live close to nature. Immerse yourself in it, relax, enjoy the outdoors of this special culture.
Cooking yourself is an excellent option. Eating out is easy, very tasteful and very economical due to the Italian culture. A culinary, and healthy meal based on fresh seasonal ingredients, consists of many courses and costs around € 25 pp, including your drinks, coffee and digestif.
THE HOUSE: central heating, split level - richly equipped - kitchen diner (cooking, washing, large fridge with freezer, oven, dishwasher, SmartTV, free WiFi, safe, BlueTooth® speaker and bed cupboard with a full bed for the possible 3rd person), a bedroom (2nd flat screen TV) and a bathroom (WC, shower, bidet, washbasin) ...
