The property is set amongst one hectare of olive groves and produces the famous EVVO. If you are searching for a place to chill out, with contemplative and inspirational views to think, read, write, walk, paint, hike, cook, entertain, sit by the fire, a base to explore, swim, sun bake, and revitalise, then this is perfect for you! There is a large panoramic terrace with outdoor lounge and deck chairs capturing amazing sunsets, perfect for candle lit dinners or star gazing. The walnut tree provides shaded canopy in summer, perfect for Al fresco dining and BBQ's.
If you can tear yourself away from the place then there are many beautiful Medieval hill towns and hidden treasures to visit. Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto and Cortona are just a few places you can drive to within 45 minutes. There's a House Book providing insider information, hidden treasures, country roads, local markets, summer Festa's and authentic places to eat. The property is separate to the owners 'Tower House' which is used exclusively by the owners for some weeks of the year. From June to end of September there is a 20 metre lap pool and sun lounge area for use. The owners are not often in residence but there is a discreet staff who maintain the pool and property and can provide additional services or will not disturb your peace and privacy.
It was love at first sight when the owners first set eyes on the Guest House and the amazing position and views some 12 years ago. They were looking for a country escape, a retreat from their stressed out city lives, where they had space to breathe and to entertain. The timeless landscape of Umbria captivated them, its proximity to Rome and Florence, ticked all the boxes for commuting distance but it was Umbria's humble soul and achingly beautiful vistas with less known places beckoning to be discovered that took them.
The Guest House is still original but with modern contemporary comfort and once a base for the owners, it has provided unbelievable entertaining experiences shared with their friends, family and guests over the years and is now available for rent. The owners feel that it is a shame to not share this magical part of the world and keep the house alive. They want you to feel like you've come home, because that's what it has always been.
