A large 200 year old stone-built former farmhouse on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, situated 1.5kms up a white road in a clearing on a beautiful wooded hillside with uninterrupted views extending across to the other side of the valley. It is secluded, private and tranquil but close to amenities. The house is ideal for those looking for a relaxing break in the heart of Italy with extended family or 2 or 3 family friends.
There are six attractive bedrooms (3 kingsize doubles and 3 twins), three bathrooms (2 with showers and 1 with a bath). A spacious and comfortable living room with TV and lots of DVD's for both adults and children and books (mainly english), dining room and well equipped kitchen with a 5 ring gas hob with 110cm electric fan oven, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, 1 larder fridge, 1 small chest freezer and 1 drinks fridge with ice compartment, lots of pots pans and utensils, arranged over 3 floors. There are 2 travel cots for babies (you need to bring your own bedding) and 2 highchairs. All the windows have mosquito blinds and all the bedrooms have fans.
Outside there is a private solar heated, saltwater chlorinated swimming pool (10mx5m) with built in steps in the shallow end and large established gardens surrounded by countryside. Beside the swimming pool is a roofed pergola with large travertine marble tiled table, perfect for long leisurely lunches in the shade and with lighting and lanterns (tealights provided) for evening meals. The wifi also extends to the pergola so you can catch up with work if required or keep your social media posts up to date!
There is also a pool house, where you can put away the sunlounger cushions and drying racks for towels and swimming costumes and a toilet.
The house is conveniently located for visiting all the key attractions in this beautiful part of Umbria and Tuscany. Our local town is 15 minutes drive away for supermarkets, pharmacy and ATM's. There are 2 great restaurants 10 minutes from the house, where you can either dine in or take away pizza's.
