Nestled into the Lunigiana hills near the Medieval village of Tresana, Villa Matilde is a restored farmhouse that’s cheery inside and out.
Simply unwind in the private gardens overlooking the hills with family and friends, or use the property as a base to explore the area of Lunigiana and surroundings. Though Villa Matilde still has its classic tiled roof, stone walls and floors and wide hearth, its furnishings bring the villa comfortably into the modern age.
Plump sofas invite you to linger in the two living rooms, the dining table has seating for eight and there’s even a breakfast table in the fully equipped kitchen.
The villa has four bedrooms plus a sofa bed on first floor and two bathrooms with shower.
Set close to the border between Tuscany and Liguria, Villa Matilde is a short drive outside the hilltop village of Tresana, which has medieval roots and the small town of Terrarossa, which has an assortment of supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
