Our holiday home, next to our main house, is located on the Apennines on the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
La Casa-torre can host from 2 to 6 guests. It consists of 2 double bedrooms, 2 extra single beds (one per room), a wide toilet with a shower and a washing machine, a dining room with sofa, satellite tv and a big kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, including a stove with 5 burners and a 90 cm electric oven, fridge with a freezer, kettle, toaster, Italian and American coffee machine. Gas central heating and hot water. Porcaticcio has two hectares of wood with private lawn for outdoor dining, sunbathing and relaxing: the new swimming pool of the property will be inaugurated in June 2019.
The hilly landscape of the Senio Valley and the surrounding woods are ideal for relaxation, concentration and contact with nature. Porcaticcio di Sopra is also an artistic sculpture and painting workshop and is an hour and a half drive from the well-known art cities of Florence, Ravenna and Bologna. Our customers have appreciated Porcaticcio for these two main reasons: the house is hidden among the trees and in a little tourist area to be discovered; at the same time important cultural cities, pretty villages and the sea can be reached by day trips. From April to October Casola Valsenio, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Brisighella organize interesting popular festivals: Festa of Spring, Festival of Forgotten Fruits, Medieval Festivals etc. Porcaticcio is also just a few kilometers from: Riolo Thermal Center, riding stables, tennis courts, mountain bike tracks, numerous trekking routes and, of course, excellent restaurants and trattorias of the best Tuscan and Romagna cuisine. We offer lessons in sculpture, painting and yoga.
