Cannara is a very ancient construction whose origins can be traced back to the Roman era and perhaps even earlier. The Cannara complex is a unicum linked by the garden and the river formed by three distinct structures: La Cannara, La Casa sul fiume, Le Stanze del Giardino, each autonomous and independent. The residence is located in Marta, on the shores of Lake Bolsena, in the Tuscia region, the area formerly populated by the Etruscans whose historical, cultural, architectural and naturalistic jewels are famous. A short distance away you can reach Montefiascone, Tuscania, Tarquinia and forty-five minutes Viterbo and Orvieto. Rome can be reached in about an hour and a half.
La Cannara: it has been the residence of the current owners for the past thirty years and it has been renovated with particular solutions inserted in the unique context of the building. Antiques and memorabilia from the history of the monument create an atmosphere out of time. La Cannara is able to accommodate a large family or several couples who decide to spend a particular short holiday. Its accommodation consists of 3 double bedrooms (2 double and one twin) as well as a single room. The three bedrooms all have a bathroom (2 with direct access).
The Residence on the River: It is a suite consisting of a living room with kitchenette and double bedroom with bathroom. Everything is suspended above one of the two basins and in fact the murmur of the water acts as a constant discreet background. The river is always present both from the large living room window that frames the lively waterfall on the grates and from the ancient bedroom window from which you can admire the placid flow downstream.
La Casa del Giardino: Outside the historic center there are two double bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), one of which has an adjoining living / dining room and veranda overlooking the river with \"la Cannara\" acting as a backdrop.
The complex is rented for exclusive use and a small spa with an Iacuzzi is also available.
